General rules...

G1. The E-MC editions will be held once a month.

G2. Each member represents the EBU/EUR active member (or any other independent european country) of his choice and enters a song for that country.

G3. Only one member per family will be allowed (from E-MC 21 on).

G4. The singer/group must be from the country the member is representing with following exceptions:

•  A singer/group that has already represented the same country in Eurovision Song Contest can be submitted.

•  A singer can represent a specific country if he/she has roots in that country, in other words, if one of his/her parents were born in that country or if she/he was born there.

•  Small countries are allowed to enter an artist/group from another country, using what's written below, but the song must be in the official language of the country the member is representing.

•  The countries that are allowed to do that are: Andorra (can enter songs of singers/groups from Spain), Liechtenstein (can enter songs of singers/groups from Austria, Switzerland or Germany), Luxembourg (can enter songs of singers/groups from France or Belgium), Malta (can enter songs of singers/groups from United Kingdom), Monaco (can enter songs of singers/groups from France or Italy), San Marino (can enter songs of singers/groups from Italy), Vatican City (can enter songs of singers/groups from Italy); Cyprus (can enter songs of singers/groups from Greece); Montenegro (can enter songs of singers/groups from Serbia).

G5. The song can be any length.

G6. The song does not have to be a eurovision song. It can be any song, as long as it follows rule G3.

G7. If a member doesn't enter a specific edition, he/she must e-mail the manager before the 28th of the month prior to the edition. This e-mail is to confirm the non-participation. When he/she does so, the country is still reserved for him/her. Voting is compulsory when a country is kept reserved. If no e-mail, entry or votes are received before the deadlines, the country is "set free" for others to pick.

G8. A member can change country if, and only if, he/she has already represented the current country for 5 EDITIONS.

G9. E-MC is for fun. Any offensive comment or any written misbehavior won't be allowed. The consequences may be expulsion from the group.

Specific rules...

S1. The song must be submitted by email to the manager, while the previous contest is being held . The formats accepted are mp3, mp4, wav or wma files. If a member wants to submit a song that he/she only has the audio or video link on the net, he/she must work in a way of converting that song to one of the formats listed above (Real Player - Free edition is a very easy-to-use software that allows downloading music videos and then converting them to audio files).

S2. At the moment, no relegation/semifinals/qualification rules are set so, every song that is submitted will compete.

S3. The points are be given in eurovision style (12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1) for the final plus positions 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th. These positions are needed to replace some countries that were given points but have not voted.

S5.
Every member that does not give the votes
before the deadline, will end with 0 points. Non-participating members who keep a country reserved and do not vote before the deadline, will no longer hold reservation of the country.
